PRACTITIONERS OF MOVIE MAGICK

EMPIRE ENGINE 19 was established in 1863 and was one of New York City's most notorious independent fire militias that served for the Union in the Civil War.  

150 years later this haunted station house, with its iconoclastic spirit and proud title, have been reinstated as both home and headquarters for production designers Julian LaVerdiere and Erica Hohf, where they practice their Movie Magick to conceive and art direct enchanting public art installations and elaborate sets for commercial advertising and feature films.

EMPIRE ENGINE 19 is membered with I.A.T.S.E. United Scenic Artists Local 829, and commercially represented by ICM PARTNERS in Los Angeles, CA.
